Arte Kanela Flamenco

Formed in 1990, Arte Kanela Flamenco is widely acclaimed as one of the most exciting and dynamic forces in the Australian Flamenco music scene. At the core of this ensemble are the charismatic Tedesco brothers: director, choreographer and dancer, Johnny Tedesco and musical director and guitarist, Richard Tedesco.

Arte Kanela’s music, presence and versatility transcends both cultural and musical boundaries. Arte Kanela has worked with Kate Ceberano and The Cat Empire, and featured on some of Australia's highest rated television programs such as Dancing with the Stars, The Panel, Spicks and Specks. They have also featured in a short film directed and produced by renowned Hollywood director Roger Spottiswoode. Arte Kanela have performed at some of Australia’s most important music festivals and events including Woodford Festival, Port Fairy Victoria, Melbourne International Festival, The Famous Spiegeltent Melbourne, Erupt-Taupo Festival New Zealand, and a tour for Regional Arts Victoria.
